Take a Private Tour to visit two Magical Towns nearby Mexico City: Puebla and Cholula, a place where you will find the bisggest pyramid in the world (Minimum 2 persons).
Mexico is a great cultural mosaic that extends over time; we invite you to a magical journey where you will see how the prehispanic world and the Spanish cultures merged and how that fusion continues to this day; In contrast to the modernity and avant-garde of Mexico City, only 2 hours away is Cholula, the oldest living and inhabited city of the continent that has transcended over time, from ceremonial center to Magical Town and World Heritage Site.
We begin with a beautiful panorama that the volcanoes of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl offer us to reach Cholula, declared “Magic Town” by many of its characteristics like its 365 churches, the “Vaniloquio” (a concert for the bells of its churches) and the Sanctuary of the Virgen de los Remedios, built on Tlachihualtepetl (handmade hill) or the “Great Pyramid”; This pyramid, the largest in the world because of its length and width, was a great center of worship and commerce; After the conquest, the temple of the Virgen de los Remedios was built on top of it, as a way to impose Catholicism on ancient beliefs.
You will know with our guide, part of the structure of the great pyramid, by the exterior roads and part of its labyrinth of tunnels.
From there we will go to Santa María Tonantzintla, to visit the Tonantzintla church, a temple of indigenous baroque style and where you can appreciate, pleasantly, the fusion of indigenous cultures with the Catholic religion, through its angels with plumes and feathers, or its decorated with fruits of the locality, like the chile and the papaya.
We will continue our journey to the center of the city of Puebla, where you can enjoy a varied local cuisine and later we will visit, on foot, the city center of Puebla, one of the oldest in the continent; the Cathedral, one of its most important buildings, which took more than 200 years to complete, being in itself an architectural jewel, keeps in its interior numerous relics of the past, from religious ornaments to historical documents; We will also pass through the Rosario chapel and the Parian marking, one of the oldest in the country and current selling center of typical crafts of the region.
